Through a staged journey across the city’s spaces, you move from scene to scene. This is not a race against time, but an experience where the story takes centre stage. You must work together, face the forces of darkness, and make choices that drive the narrative forward.
What is Fantasy Quest?
Fantasy Quest is a unique immersive experience for participants of all ages. Forget about standing on the sidelines – here, you don’t take part as a spectator, but as an essential piece of a living game.
Along the way, you encounter live characters, solve puzzles, and act in scenes created specifically for this year’s story. It’s a total experience that blends role-playing, escape room elements, and an urban adventure.
Last year, the city was saved. Are you ready this year?
This year’s story is shrouded in secrecy, but the level is higher than ever. Last year, the challenges led the heroes into the city’s hidden corners. Participants had to, among other things:
- Activate glowing stones alongside the mysterious archaeologist behind Kosmorama.
- Brew a potion in the House of Mysteries while Maklakitha spread evil from her cell.
- Sneak past the Midgard Serpent in the darkness underground to steal a magical scale.
- Fight demons in I.C. Møllerparken before the final showdown with Tubal Cain.
Rumours say that a new and unknown threat is gathering strength in the shadows of Esbjerg. It is coming. The question is whether you are ready to face it.

The Quest unfolds in two different ways. Although the route takes you through the same streets, the atmosphere and the challenges change with the light.

DayQuest: A magical mission for all generations
On Saturday 19 September and Sunday 20 September, Esbjerg becomes the centre of an adventurous tale. Over the course of approximately 75 minutes, you move through the city and become part of a story that calls for heroism and cooperation. Along the way, you will meet friendly helpers – but also those who will try to disrupt your heroic deeds. You solve exciting challenges and uncover clues that bring the story to life.
Esbjerg needs heroes. So hurry and secure your place on the journey before it’s too late.

EveningQuest: Adventure after nightfall
When darkness falls on Saturday 19 September, the quest changes character. Light, sound, and characters step more clearly into focus, creating an experience that feels more dramatic. As a true hero, you must make choices and overcome challenges that demand both courage and cooperation.
The EveningQuest is for ages 12 and up. Tickets for the journey are limited, so don’t wait until darkness takes over.
Practical information
Fantasy Quest is for everyone who loves great stories and working together. It doesn’t require physical fitness – only courage and a willingness to immerse yourself in another world.
Each team is sent off at fixed intervals. You choose your specific start time when purchasing your ticket.
DayQuest: Saturday from 9:30 am to 3:25 pm and Sunday from 10:00 am to 1:25 pm.
EveningQuest: Saturday from 6:00 pm to 10:25 pm.
Your quest begins right in the heart of the action at Torvet in Esbjerg.
Expect a journey of up to 1.5 hours through the city streets and hidden locations.
Yes. The full experience requires a ticket. It is your only access to the closed locations and interactive scenes.
Each story is created only once. Fantasy Quest is an exclusive one-time experience, and when the tickets are gone, the portal to this year’s story closes.
